Hello, My name is Vinnie, or aayy000, and I joined Rivercrafters today. It seems like a really cool server, an adolescent one (ask me what that means if you care), and I plan on sticking on it for a while 
. Myself, having run 3 servers (Another Planned) and been staff on many more, have a few things that would be good to add on this already wonderful server.
First off, You mustn't add factions. I was admin on a server that was highly popular during it's 2 month time (PurePVP), but it died of a disease known as factions. Factions prevents the growth of a server's community, because it makes people hate each other. For a successful server, you must have a strong, calcium--- I mean smart people filled community.
Second, forums are awful. They could be improved upon, but it's not as easy as making a subreddit. Make one by clicking here. Subreddits are beautiful before you even edit them, and they are extremely easy to customize. They act like a forum, in the way that you can post threads (self [aka text] posts, or image posts) which other people can comment on.
Third, I would make it so people could pay in game money to get worldguarded "plots". Just a little thing I did on all of my servers, people liked it and I never needed to get some gay plugin like factions or towny, because people bitch and moan if they need to hide their shit.
Lastly, instead of a linear rank chart (guest>member>staff) I would make a Wibbly Wobbly Branchy Chart (Doctor Who Referance) It would go guest to member, then it would split into three branches, a regular veteran branch (for normal people, the highest rank would get the fun game commands but not /ban or any moderating commands like that), a donated branch (just like veteran except you get it fast if you are a member and you donate, don't give it to guest because then a rich guy could come on and wreak havoc), and a staff branch (With mod and admin and stuff, for really trusted people.)
